My name is Jacqueline, and I enjoy revolutionary history, writing, and playing RPGs with my friends. I don't know what I'm going to do with this webbed site just yet, but my friend reblogged a post with a link to a very nice resource called HTML is for People. Therefore, I am making myself a webbed site, for, if I am anything, I am a people.
Here are some things I like to do!
I am a huge nerd, and I am expanding my nerd powers by making a website (I might even make more gasp).
I am eighteen years old as of writing this, and I am going to start at a four year university this fall. I expect this webbed site will mostly be about writing, so I'll share some about that.
I just finished outlining my newest project, a short novella/novelette, and I have written two other novellas, one of which is part of a longer series, which I have outlined a fair amount of material for, but which remains largely not yet drafted. My interests are in English, History, and Politics, and especially the History of Politics, and therefore Revolutions are incredibly fascinating to me. As you might have seen in the home page, I like to listen to Mike Duncan's Revolutions podcast, and I highly recommend it. A lot of my writing revolves around historical themes, though none of it, at least so far, has been direct historical fiction. One project revolves around a mutiny in an occupation force on a foreign planet, who find themselves tricked into brutal imperialism, and, disgusted by the war crimes of her more zealous comrades, one of the marines triggers a mass mutiny, which helps to free the world. Another, the one which I have outlined extensively for, is meant to resemble the French Revolution of 1789 and the subsequent Napoleonic period, but I have taken great creative liberties with that one. My most recent project incorporates themes of imperialism and cultural erasure, as well as sacrifice. It is to be my shortest work, and I have a friend who may end up making it into a graphic novel. I am no artist, but they are, and are really quite talented.
Anyways, at least for the time being, I expect that literally the only people reading this will be people I actually send the link to. And, since that's the case, you could just yap at me using whatever messenger I used to text you the link. However, just in case I use this later, and more than anything to make sure I don't forget about it, anyone interested in yapping about writing, or, heaven provide, I publish a book, you can email me about it at jpkgauthor@gmail.com.
